Welcome to Year 2 Class Page

My name is Mrs Patel and I am your child’s class teacher. I look forward to teaching your child this year.  

Each week, your child will bring home a reading book, a RWI reading book bag book, a RWI core text and a book assigned for them on the Oxford Owl. Please sign your child’s reading record once they have read all three books. In addition, there is a word book mark stuck in the back of the reading record with words on it that your child needs to learn. They need to be able to read and spell each word before we can move them up to the next book mark.  Please ensure that your child brings in their reading book bag to school everyday. 

All homework tasks will be set on the Google Classroom and they will be posted on Friday for your child to complete before Monday. They also need to spend some time on Timetable Rockstars.  The child who spends the longest on Timetable Rockstars will be awarded a certificate every Friday!

Our PE day is Monday so please ensure that your all items of the PE kit are clearly labelled and are in school.
