As designers, we design, problem solve and make our own products using different skills.
Subject Leader
Mrs Jackson is our subject lead and has been working hard to design a new curriculum for Design Technology which inspires our children to think outside of the box when designing products and also encourages healthy eating through food technology in every year group. She enjoys making things at home and especially likes cooking different cuisines from around the world.
Subject Intent
Through Design Technology, we explore diverse cultures and encourage excellence in all lessons. We aim to open minds as children solve problems in this subject and develop their talents in designing and creating. During our evaluation of products, we expect respect from everyone so that it is a supportive process. Our school values are expressed in Design Technology through the process of teamwork and exploration. Children will trust each other and be thankful for different ideas.
